For compensation of frequency related loss within systems such as that incurred when using long cable runs from receivers to antennas, BSC offer a full range of passive Equalisers with negative gain slopes (loss decreases with frequency) covering a selection of ranges from the full EW spectrum to narrow bands.
Gain slopes are typically linear best-fit straight line, but parabolic equalisation is also offered. Frequency Coverage is offered from 300 MHz to 18 GHz, with surface mount or coaxial connectors and in tubular or traditional rectangular enclosures.
Because of the rugged package design, small size, high Q, and temperature stability, MPG’s Suspended Substrate Filters can fit a wide range of applications, including those in the following markets: defense, EW, radar, communications, satcom, telecom, SIGIN, aerospace, space, automated test equipment, navigation/GPS and data links.
Frequency Range | Insertion Loss at 12.0 GHz | Differential Insertion Loss at 8.0 GHz | Linearity | Return Loss | Power Handling | Operating temperature | Connectors | External Finish |
8.0 to 12.0 GHz | 0.8 dB max | 4.0 ±0.5 dB max | ±0.5 dB | 10 dB min | +30 dBm max | -55 to 85°C | Surface Mount | Silver Plate |
BSC is based in York, UK, BSC offers its full range of non-ITAR products to the RF global marketplace, whether for small quick turn development runs or high volumes associated with series production of phased array RADAR and EW systems and commercial market place needs. A small selection of the active microwave assemblies and modules offered include front end preselectors, Switched Filters for Antenna front ends, IF assemblies, DRFM front ends, adaptive filtering including switched multiplexers, switched filter banks, and Software Defined Radio filter assemblies.
